Summary

A book with a bit of a bit of a predictable ending but overall a nice read。 Definitely enjoyed It ends with us more but it still can be a nice enjoyment to read and a book which doesn’t need to much thought to read and understand 3。7/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not as in depth with emotions and thoughts as the first book。 It was heartwarming everything turned out well for Lily and Atlas, still leaves some questions about their future and external relationships。 I don’t necessarily think Josh needed to be a part of the book。 It showed some insight into Atlas’s personal life, but took away from other points of the plot。

I loved this book it was a very good sequel to it ends with us。 i really enjoyed it but i think the ending could have been a bit better because it made me quite sad。

This is probably the last Colleen Hoover book I’ll read lol。 I read it Ends up with us and obviously liked the characters but this whole book felt like a long dragged out closure of a relationship。 It was honestly super boring

Natalie Matyka

Eh was just okay

Calista

Not the biggest fan of her writing style, but parts of it were sweet

Holly Byard

Good follow on but not as good as it ends with us。

Unlike It Ends with Us, this book was much more romantic。 In the first book, the abuse was over the top and upsetting to me as a reader。 It was wonderful to see that all be resolved once and for all (sortof)! I recommend reading both, but I am so glad we have the second part of the story NOW!

I really enjoyed this one。。 specially Atlas POV。。。

As expected- a perfect CoHo-style follow up to Lily, Atlas and Ryle。 I know CoHo is not for everyone but honetsy she is the perfect gateway author if you are trying to get into or get back into reading。 Her books are fast reads and keep you engaged。 I appreciated that this book was mostly light hearted in comparision to the first。 I also liked that this one was not only a follow up on Lily's life but the beginning of Atlas'。 Really gave him that purpose I think he was searching for。 I specifical As expected- a perfect CoHo-style follow up to Lily, Atlas and Ryle。 I know CoHo is not for everyone but honetsy she is the perfect gateway author if you are trying to get into or get back into reading。 Her books are fast reads and keep you engaged。 I appreciated that this book was mostly light hearted in comparision to the first。 I also liked that this one was not only a follow up on Lily's life but the beginning of Atlas'。 Really gave him that purpose I think he was searching for。 I specifically listened to the audio book version and I do have to say the narrator for Atlas was spot on, but Lily's wasn't as believeable。 Maybe it's because I read the first book so her voice was different in my head? However, I felt during Atlas' chapters it was actually him talking where as for Lily I felt like it was someone reading the book to me not her speaking to me。 I listened to it at 1。25x speed and I enjoyed that pace。 。。。more

This book was very close to three stars in that it was almost not substantial enough。 I understand why Colleen Hoover wrote this book, and I think it needed to be written。 I think too often a book ends with this harrowing climax and resolution and then the reader thinks "they lived happily ever after, the end。" When in reality, DV circumstances are not this way。 They are how Colleen portrayed them。 They are complicated, exhausting, and hopeful。All that said, I love Atlas。 Like I love Atlas and a This book was very close to three stars in that it was almost not substantial enough。 I understand why Colleen Hoover wrote this book, and I think it needed to be written。 I think too often a book ends with this harrowing climax and resolution and then the reader thinks "they lived happily ever after, the end。" When in reality, DV circumstances are not this way。 They are how Colleen portrayed them。 They are complicated, exhausting, and hopeful。All that said, I love Atlas。 Like I love Atlas and am so firm in the knowledge that no man is that perfect。 Do I wish more men were this perfect? Yes。 However, do we live in a patriarchal society that makes this almost impossible? Das perfekte Ende der Story von Lilly。 Ich habe dieses Buch so gebraucht nach dem lesen von „It ends with us“。 Es hat mir Seelenfrieden gegeben und Hoffnung。 Würde beide Teile jedem Mädchen ans Herz legen!🫶

Maybe it’s because I’ve always been a hopeless romantic… or maybe it’s because Atlas just had my heart。 I loved this book okay? 4✨

Okay so I preordered this and I started reading as soon as I got it。 This was a softer read and was not as great at It Ends With Us but I was happy for homegirl。 It was still beautiful but a little slower and maybe an unnecessary addition to the story because well, I could’ve assumed this is what would have happened。

ok i know almost everyone hated this book, so i went in thinking i would too。 it’s definitely not as good as IEWU, but i liked it!! it could be that i just got done reading a very slow book, but it kept my attention well。 it was definitely more loving and more focused on the positives compared to the toxic parts (which the toxic parts keep my attention the best) but i thought it was cute and still had enough drama in it to be interesting!!

Michelle Rolnik

Loved it! I was nervous how the prequel would end, so once I picked this up, it was a nice follow up to the first book of the series。 It leaves you feeling happy and complete in the series。

I hate that I didn’t love it - I think I had such high hopes from It Ends With Us that it couldn’t reach what I envisioned。 But, I think its because It Ends With Us cannot be topped。 I love that I got a glimpse into Atlas & Lily in adulthood, but I was actually more interested in the chapters by Atlas rather than Lily。

Am I the only one who thought this book was dry and almost impossible to get through? In my opinion, Atlas and Lily were boring together。 I think this sequel was kind of unnecessary…

Literally 100000/10。 I don’t care what anyone says I love these books。 The main characters are so lovable I am literally naming my first cat Atlas。 It was really amazing to see them get their happy ending and this whole book felt like a warm hug。 I would read a thousand more books about them if Colleen wrote them (which she won’t) but that’s okay because I have my imagination。 It also really shows and abusive relationship does not end after the breakup。 Was so great to see Lily set boundaries an Literally 100000/10。 I don’t care what anyone says I love these books。 The main characters are so lovable I am literally naming my first cat Atlas。 It was really amazing to see them get their happy ending and this whole book felt like a warm hug。 I would read a thousand more books about them if Colleen wrote them (which she won’t) but that’s okay because I have my imagination。 It also really shows and abusive relationship does not end after the breakup。 Was so great to see Lily set boundaries and stand by them。 。。。more

I loved the characters so I read this but I agree with others who stated a 2nd book wasn't really necessary。 Although, it answered some questions from the 1st book, it was alot of back and forth to get to the ending we knew would happen。 I loved the characters so I read this but I agree with others who stated a 2nd book wasn't really necessary。 Although, it answered some questions from the 1st book, it was alot of back and forth to get to the ending we knew would happen。 。。。more

This book, while I read it quickly, it is very overrated。 I found that this book was sort of unnecessary and that it didn't add much to the story besides a happy ending。 I feel that the author was just trying to make more money off of her biggest book。 While it is nice to read I don't necessarily think that it is a book I would want to read again。 This book, while I read it quickly, it is very overrated。 I found that this book was sort of unnecessary and that it didn't add much to the story besides a happy ending。 I feel that the author was just trying to make more money off of her biggest book。 While it is nice to read I don't necessarily think that it is a book I would want to read again。 。。。more

It Ends With Us was simply the rain before the sun shines, it gave an insight into domestic violence I hoped I would never experience myself。 Unfortunately, life doesn’t go that way but after reading It Starts With Us it showed me that life gets better that we will one day found our soul mate or in the words of Atlas our fish。This book has helped me understand myself these last few days。 I can now gratefully say thankyou to Colleen Hoover for helping me once again realise that words will always It Ends With Us was simply the rain before the sun shines, it gave an insight into domestic violence I hoped I would never experience myself。 Unfortunately, life doesn’t go that way but after reading It Starts With Us it showed me that life gets better that we will one day found our soul mate or in the words of Atlas our fish。This book has helped me understand myself these last few days。 I can now gratefully say thankyou to Colleen Hoover for helping me once again realise that words will always been more powerful than actions。 It’s the words that make the actions worthy。 。。。more

There’s a lot of mixed reviews on this sequel, but I ultimately always have the expectation that the sequel isn’t as good as the first。 In every series I’ve ever read—ever—that has always been the case with only one exception。 So I never have high expectations to begin with! But this one was great。 It wasn’t as moving as the first given the focus and purpose of the two books were completely different—the first being representative of an issue that deserves more attention in society and the second giving a more satisfying, positive look into the characters you’ve bonded with, providing some closure for them we all were hoping for。 I think it did exactly that。 I wasn’t necessarily looking to be as moved as I was in the first book。 I just wanted to know more about the characters I came to love and that’s what I found!! Loved it!The only thing—and I can’t even truly blame this on the book—is that I still want more。 😂 I can’t help but feel the closure aspect for the characters is still feeling like an itch I can’t scratch。 That is tough for me to cope with when I fall so deeply into a book, but I think that can sometimes be indicative of how beautiful the story itself is。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I honestly was disappointed with this book。 I feel there are still a lot of loose ends and the book was just all over the place。 I am happy that Lilly got her “happy” ending。 But overall I was not impressed with this book compared to it ends with us。

this books fulfilled all of my expectations and more。 it’s depiction of abuse and the cycle is so raw and i honestly enjoyed it just as much as It Ends With Us which is something that surprised me。 the plot was so perfect and i honestly could not put it down。
